Description
Perfectly suited for a peaceful aquarium, the small sized Borneo Redline Halfbeak is a uniquely shaped fish which prefers to spend most of its time near the surface. Peaceful in nature and best kept with other nano species in a mature and established aquarium.
Due to its calm behavior, highly active aquariums or strong water flow are best avoided. Recommended tank mates includes Galaxy Rasbora, Kuhli loaches, Chocolate Gouramis, and other similar tempered nano fish.
The Borneo Redline Halfbeak are capable of jumping when startled, keeping them in a less disturbed spot or using a lid might be necessary. For its diet, the fish accepts frozen daphnia, bloodworms, and can become accustomed to floating dry food. We recommend floating fry food which is easier for this fish to consume.
Fish Size Guide:
The ‘Maximum Size’ outlined below is the length this fish can reach as a full grown adult. For the actual size please use the select menu above.
Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as “Large” or “Adult”.
